At Covenant Kids Manor of Florida our Supportive Services Managers complete a level 2 background check which includes finger prints. Personal and employment references are conducted as well as local police checks and Adam Walsh checks. Successful completion of 24 hours of pre-service foster parent training classes either PRIDE (Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education) or Professional Parenting. Other mandatory training includes First Aid, CPR, Water Safety and home management. After a home study is completed and approved by The Florida Department of Children and Families a foster parent license is issued and foster children are placed in the home.

Foster parents Danielle & Christopher Butler made local, national (Massachusetts) and international (Australia) news when they thought of a creative way to show their foster children love and appreciation during COVID-19. The foster parents dressed up in T-Rex costumes and met their foster children at the bus stop on the first day of the 2020-2021 school year.
